This term, Key Stage 1 have been learning all about the Great Fire of London and today was the day (finally!) when they got to see the fire in action!
Over the the last few weeks, the children have been making Tudor-style buildings including houses, dentists and of course, the bakery on Pudding Lane.
This young lady used her initiative and made this beautiful bakery at home, complete with the interior and yet was so happy to have it set on fire!
Year 2 watched in awe as the fire, fanned by the wind, quickly spread along the street.
In no time at all, most of the street had been reduced to ash.
Luckily, Miss Hammond was on hand with the fire extinguisher to put out the last few flames.
Well done for the effort that went into your houses Year 2, we hope you enjoyed seeing them on fire!
